First Business Financial Services Inc., parent company of First Business Bank, announced that John J. Harris, 72, died on Nov. 13. Harris was a member of the First Business Financial Services Inc. Board of Directors for 12 years, including six years serving concurrently on the First Business Bank board.
During his tenure, Harris held several leadership positions, including on the audit corporate governance and nominating, and operational risk committees, and was chair of the capital & acquisitions committee from 2018–24. His career in investment banking spanned more than two decades and included senior positions at Stifel Nicolaus Weisel, Piper Jaffray, William Blair & Co., and ABN Amro, where he specialized in financial institutions and capital markets.
