First Business Bank announces nonprofit winners of charity golf invitational

Madison’s First Business Bank has announced in a recent press release the winning nonprofits and golfers who played in its annual South Central Wisconsin Charity Golf Invitational on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The event has raised over $700,000 for nonprofits in the Madison and Milwaukee areas over the past 12 years.

Local business leaders competed in two-person teams in the South Central Wisconsin Charity Golf Invitational by First Business Bank on behalf of a local charity of their choice. First Business Bank covers 100% of the event costs.

Winning golfers and charities from the event hosted at Nakoma Golf Club include:

  • John Maasch and Chris Ehlers won first place and $25,000 on behalf of WayForward Resources;
  • Bill Julius and Mike Johnson won second place and $4,200 on behalf of Operation Fresh Start;
  • Josh Bindl and Adam Terrell tied for second place and won $4,200 on behalf of First Tee–South Central Wisconsin; 
  • Ken Kurszewski and Greg Jones also tied for second place and won $4,200 on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Wisconsin; and
  • Jim Ring and Joe Ring won fifth place and $1,400 on behalf of Three Gaits.
