Fire does almost $270K worth of damage to Janesville business

The Janesville Fire Department reported that a blaze at Mary Allen Homes on Thursday caused $269,574 in damage, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. When fire crews arrived at 261 E. Memorial Drive around 1:30 in the morning, they found fire coming from the roof and immediately set to work putting it out.

The damage to the business includes $163,994 in property damage and $105,580 in content damage. There were no reported injuries and no fire damage to an attached residence. The fire’s cause is still being investigated.
