Fire at Dane County plastics firm causes up to $1.5M of damage

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office reported up to $1.5 million of damage incurred by a Dane County plastics firm from a fire early this morning, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Emergency responders were dispatched to Vico Plastics, located at 411 Haugen Road in Albion at roughly 2:30 a.m. The inside of the building was totally engulfed with black smoke pouring out upon the arrival of deputies and fire crews.

The estimated worth of the building and its contents is $1.5 million. No injuries were reported. The Madison Area Fire Investigation team was asked to investigate the cause of the blaze.
