A proposed funding cut for parking cashiers in the 2021 city budget has been rejected by Madison’s Finance Committee, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
In a 5–1 vote, the committee voted to restore funding for the equivalent of 19 full- and part-time parking utility positions. Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway’s $349.1 million budget only included funding for seven cashier positions.
