The COVID-19 pandemic is pushing gas prices lower across Dane County and Wisconsin, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA). Its website tracking gas prices have the average price per gallon in Dane County at $1.56 as of March 30.

The prices reflect the oversupply of oil in the global market and fewer drivers purchasing fuel as people are largely confined to home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
