Baum Development’s $19.8 million renovation of Garver Feed Mill on Madison’s east side behind Olbrich Gardens is now expected to close by the end of November, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Several delays — the latest due to contaminated soil found earlier this year — have kept the project from breaking ground.

Baum is converting the 1905 building into an artisan food production facility, and will surround it with as many as 50 microlodge units for short-term housing.

Many delays, negotiations, and deadline extensions have ensued since Baum was awarded the project in April 2015, but closing is now scheduled for Nov. 28.
