In a move that might spur more vaccination mandates by employers, the FDA has given Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine its full approval, according to an Associated Press report. The approval this week will potentially boost public confidence in the shots and open the way for more universities, companies, and local governments to make vaccinations mandatory.
This week, Gov. Tony Evers announced that Wisconsin vaccinators have administered 6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and more than 50% of the state’s residents have completed their vaccine series. As an incentive for more people getting vaccinated, the state recently announced its $100 COVID-19 Vaccine Reward Program, which offers a $100 Visa gift card to anyone who receives their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine between Aug. 20 and Sept. 6.
