Make Him Smile, an organization founded by Chris Farley’s family to protect the late comedian’s publicity and property rights, filed a lawsuit against Waterloo-based Trek Bicycles, claiming Trek used the late comedian’s name on a line of “Farley” fat-tire bikes it produces.

But after a Los Angeles judge ordered the case back to Madison, the issue was quickly resolved and Trek and the Farley’s organization announced a settlement.

Details are unknown, but Trek will be able to continue manufacturing the Farley fat-tire bikes, according to various media reports.
