A daytime facility with support services for those experiencing homelessness or mental health struggles has reopened in a new spot off of the Capitol Square, WMTV15 reports. Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan’s new resource center is located at 116 W. Washington Ave.

The renovated facility features a full kitchen, community space, laundry room, and shower room, among other spaces. The organization provides hot meals, counseling services, peer support, and more.

Funding for the organization comes from Dane County and Comprehensive Community Services through Medicaid, as well as community support. Items such as adult clothing, personal care products, and craft supplies are currently in high demand. Click here to donate or volunteer.

Organizers report over 6,000 meals served, 400 loads of laundry washed, and more than 400 showers taken since January.
