A $10,000 bonus will be given to 776 air traffic controllers and technicians who kept perfect attendance during the federal government shutdown that saw industry workers miss two paycheck periods and work without pay, according to the Associated Press.

That leaves about 20,000 workers in the field without a bonus, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

As previously reported, numerous controllers called out of work as the record-breaking shutdown continued for over a month. The absence caused flight delays and cancellations at airports across the country.
