Information from the Wisconsin National Guard now suggests a squadron of F-35 jets may not fly as many missions from Truax Field as projected by the Air Force, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. In a letter to Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, the unit’s interim leader explained that initially, there would be an increase in missions as pilots train on the new jets, but by 2026 operations will likely be similar to current levels. The change could affect the number of homes eligible for future mitigation funding.
