EYM Chicken of Wisconsin LLC announced that it will permanently cease operations in Wisconsin due to the unforeseen business circumstance of not being able to reach a resolution with KFC. EYM began closing its restaurants starting Friday, Aug. 18, due to the issue and expects to close all five locations — including Stoughton, Reedsburg, Janesville, Beloit, and Watertown — by roughly Aug. 31.
A total of 81 employees are expected to be laid off. No employees at these facilities are represented by a union. A list of the affected job titles in each restaurant is provided here.
