‘Excellence in Manufacturing/K–12 Partnerships Awards’ coming to Green Bay

The Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Manufacturing Alliance’s 13th annual “Excellence in Manufacturing/K–12 Partnerships Awards” will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Resch Expo in Green Bay. The event will spotlight best practices of manufacturing and education collaborations throughout northeast Wisconsin as well as showcase top talent from local manufacturing companies.

The awards will recognize the following 2024 Education Award winners:

  • Brighter Image — Oconto Falls High School;

  • Career Pathmaker — Administrator Dirk Ribbens, Ashwaubenon High School;

  • Career Pathmaker — Educator David Gordon, CESA 7;

  • Career Pathmaker — Technical education teacher Jeremy Hodkiewicz, Shawano School District; and

  • Education Innovation — Wrightstown Community School District.

The following 2024 Manufacturer Award winners will also be recognized:

  • Brighter Image — Pierce Manufacturing;

  • Educational Partnership — Gulfstream;

  • Leadership — The Village Companies;

  • Visionary — Jake Schulz, Therma-Tron-X Inc.; and

  • Youth Apprenticeship — Sargento Foods.

The 2024 Community Partnership winner is the MFG 4.0 Business Education Partnership and Collaboration (Sargento Foods, Masters Gallery Foods, Amerequip Krier Foods, and Kiel, Elkhart Lake, Random Lake, and Oostburg High Schools).

The organization will also be recognizing the 2024 All Stars at the event. Companies that have an employee being recognized include Fiberglass Solutions, Fincantieri Ace Marine, Georgia-Pacific, Hart Design & Manufacturing, KI, Marion Body Works, Nature’s Way, Nicolet Plastics, and Nueske Applewood Smoked Meats.

Tickets to the awards dinner must be purchased by Oct. 10.
