The local maker of Cologuard, an at-home screening test for colon cancer, is interested in pursuing diagnostic tests for other cancers, as well.
Exact Sciences Corp. has registered its intent to study blood cancers and melanoma with ClinicalTrials.gov, a website maintained by the National Institutes of Health, according to a Wisconsin State Journalarticle.
The company is already studying diagnostic blood tests for lung and other cancers. Exact Sciences employs over 1,000 people in Dane County.
