Kevin Conroy, CEO of Exact Sciences Corp., the Madison biomedical firm that developed Cologuard, an at-home screening test for colon cancer, announced in a quarterly earnings call that it will soon acquire two Phoenix-based diagnostic companies, Paradigm Diagnostics and Viomics, according to a Wisconsin State Journal story. Paradigm uses diagnostics and biomarker-driven clinical trials to help physicians determine the best type of cancer treatment for patients. Viomics is a molecular diagnostics company that researches and develops products aimed at early detection of a variety of cancers.
