Actor Jamie Foxx has joined Stand Up to Cancer and Exact Sciences for a new public service announcement to raise awareness of colorectal cancer, according to a release from the company.
The message will promote screenings, early detection, and prevention, and focus on reaching underrepresented communities. The print, broadcast, digital, and out-of-home campaign coincides with Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Black people have the highest colorectal cancer rates of any ethnic group in the United States. They are 20% more likely to get colorectal cancer and 40% more likely to die from it than any other population.
