Exact Sciences Corp., the Madison-based maker of cancer diagnostic tests, posted a $39.4 million loss in the second quarter, although the company indicated sales of its noninvasive colon cancer test continued to grow, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
The loss of $39.4 million (44 cents/share) in the second quarter looks bad compared with a loss of $19.6 million (24 cents/share) in the same period a year earlier. However, the company added $8.1 million in revenue, compared with no revenue in the second quarter of 2014.
