Last June, Exact Sciences announced an agreement to collaborate with the University of Texas on developing a blood test to detect lung cancer.
Now the Madison company, developer of the ColoGuard test for colon cancer, has decided to end its collaboration due to the costs involved.
Exact Sciences will continue to work independently on a different test for lung cancer.
