Gov. Tony Evers today announced that the Evers Administration is boosting efforts to support federal workers affected by the Trump Administration’s mass firings. A new portal and additional resources aim to connect fired federal workers and other displaced professionals, as well as those seeking different employment opportunities, with available work.
The portal allows users to find in-demand, difficult-to-fill roles across Wisconsin and state government agencies, research career opportunities based on their skill set and the local labor market and access critical resources like job center services, unemployment benefits, and rapid response and dislocated worker programs.
Additionally, the Evers Administration through the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced a series of eight virtual job fairs to assist fired federal workers and other displaced professionals with finding gainful employment. They are open to any interested individuals. The virtual job fair schedule and topics for each session include:

April 9 — Health care (10 a.m.-noon) and information technology (1-3 p.m.);

April 10 — Law enforcement, public safety, corrections and security (10 a.m.-noon) and science and research (1-3 p.m.);

April 15 — Engineering (10 a.m.-noon) and social services (1-3 p.m.); and

April 16 — Maintenance/mechanical (10 a.m.-noon) and finance/accounting and related services (1-3 p.m.).
