Equity fund names recipients

UW Credit Union has announced the recipients of emergency funds from its Fund for Racial Equity, according to a release from the company. The fund’s aim is to improve the financial well-being and financial capability of Black people, indigenous people, and communities of color. Madison recipients of emergency grants totaling nearly $500,000 are: 

  • 100 Black Men of Madison Inc.; 
  • African Center for Community Development; 
  • Centro Hispano Inc.; 
  • Charles Hamilton Houston Institute; 
  • FOSTER of Dane Inc.; 
  • Friends of the UW Odyssey Project Inc.; 
  • Madison Gospel 5K; 
  • The Road Home; 
  • Royal Financial Wellness Advisory Co.; 
  • Simpson Street Free Press; 
  • Trained to Grow Inc.; 
  • The Umbrella Transitions Corp.; and 
  • YWCA Madison.
