A federal lawsuit filed by Verona-based Epic Systems Corp. against two divisions of India-based Tata Group has begun. Tata is an IT conglomerate with 324,000 employees and 2015 revenues of $15.5 billion. Epic employs 9,500 with $2.02 billion in revenue.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Epic claims that between 2012 and 2014, the Tata divisions (Tata Consultancy Services of Mumbai, and Tata American International Corp. of New York) stole trade secrets and committed computer fraud and a breach of contract that damaged Epic’s business.
