Greenbush Bakery in Madison broke its record for most doughnuts in a single order on Wednesday with 9,000 pastries delivered to Epic Systems Corp. in Verona, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Epic was also responsible for the bakery’s previous single-order record of 7,200 in 2021.
All 12 production staff members were on the clock at the bakery’s two sites — one downtown on Regent Street and one on the far east side at 5225 High Crossing Blvd.
Typical bakery production for the 27-year-old business is between 3,500–8,000 doughnuts per day for its two locations, grocery sales, and special orders. Epic placed the 9,000-doughnut order for staff and guests at its 2023 Users Group Meeting event, where thousands of people who use Epic software meet in Verona for training.
