Epic faces class-action suit over wages

A former Epic employee has filed a class-action lawsuit in U.S. District Court against Epic, alleging the medical records company did not pay some employees overtime wages to which they were entitled. The suit could involve as many as 1,000 past and present quality assurance workers who were not paid overtime over a three-year period prior to the lawsuit. Epic classified the workers as salaried employees and contends they were therefore exempt from overtime wages. Stay tuned!
