Verona-based Epic Systems implemented one of its largest projects yet when it went online May 5 with a $1.5 billion project consolidating about 300 Mayo Clinic systems.
According to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal, about 1,000 Epic employees were in Rochester, Minn. before and after the switch that brought 26,000 Mayo employees into the system and increased the number of Mayo patients to more than 8 million.
