Verona-based Epic Systems announced new technology that will allow patients to grant health care providers access to their health records even if the provider doesn’t utilize electronic health records.
The technology, named Share Everywhere, will also allow providers to send a progress note back to the patient’s health care organization, according to a release.
Patients using the new technology will be able to use their smartphones to direct a view of their Epic chart in minutes to any clinician anywhere in the world.
