Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fitchburg is hosting an invitation-only grand opening celebration at its 5535 Nobel Drive location, as the hospital prepares to begin serving patients this month. The event will take place this Thursday, Nov. 9.
The future rehabilitation hospital will provide essential rehabilitative services that help patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions regain function and independence. Patients will receive a minimum of three hours of intensive therapy for five days each week, frequent physician visits, and 24-hour nursing care.
The inpatient rehabilitation hospital’s amenities include 56 private patient rooms, a therapy gym featuring advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activities of daily living suite, a therapy courtyard, a dining room, an in-house pharmacy, and dayroom areas.
