Edvest 529 bonus encourages families to jumpstart college savings

Edvest 529, Wisconsin’s direct-sold college savings plan, has announced a $50 bonus for new accounts opened between Oct. 10 and Oct. 31 to help families jump-start college savings.

Edvest 529 is the fifth lowest-cost 529 college savings plan in the nation. Those interested can take the following steps to provide a student with a more affordable college experience:

  • Open an account between Oct. 10 and Oct. 31;
  • Make an initial deposit of $50;
  • Set up recurring contributions of $30 or more for six consecutive months; and
  • Receive a $50 bonus.

Edvest 529 is a tax-advantaged investment, so contributions to an account may qualify for 2023 Wisconsin state income tax deductions. The plan has no sales charges, enrollment fees, or annual account maintenance fees. Terms and conditions are available here.
