A grant of $1 million from the Predolin Foundation to Edgewood University will help about 150 students with scholarships.
“Since 2008, Edgewood University has benefitted from generous grants from the late Henry Predolin through his foundation,” Andrew Manion, president of Edgewood University, said in a statement. “We are honored to continue his legacy through Predolin Scholarships that have now supported more than 750 Edgewood University students. These exceptionally talented people — our graduates — serve their communities in Wisconsin and across the nation.”
Over the past 17 years, Edgewood University has received more than $15.3 million in grants from the Predolin Foundation. The Predolin Foundation is among Edgewood University’s largest and most far-reaching benefactors.
“Henry Predolin’s goal was to provide students with scholarships to attend Edgewood University based on their financial need. He believed it was critical for these students to be given the opportunity to pursue their academic goals and not have those goals be out of reach because they lacked the financial resources to attend college,” Bob Chritton, Predolin Foundation’s president, said in a statement.
Henry Predolin served on the board of trustees of Edgewood University from 1988 to 1991 and “was instrumental in forming the campus master plan vision,” an Edgewood statement said.
