Madison-based medical device company Echometrix has received a patent for an ultrasound software system it developed to help treat people and animals with soft-tissue injuries. The company studies those injuries and measures their healing progress with color maps and numerical scores. The software product, EchoSoft, should be released as a commercial software product in the next six months.
