Video game retailer GameStop had made an offer to purchase eBay for $56 billion, but eBay rejected it on Monday, calling it “neither credible nor attractive,” CNBC reported.
GameStop’s CEO Ryan Cohen had made the offer last week.
There have been questions as to how Cohen would finance the purchase, and eBay is worth more than GameStop at $48 billion versus $10.3 billion.
Ultimately, eBay said it is in a strong financial position with leadership it trusts.
