The proposed expansion of McPike Park on the near east side of Madison calls for the demolition of three buildings on south Baldwin Street, according to a Wisconsin State Journalstory.

The Madison Parks Division is also evaluating the adaptive reuse of a fourth building. All of the buildings were acquired by the city to expand the 9.2-acre park. McPike park hosts events and festivals including La Fete de Marquette and features a small amphitheater, gathering spaces, restrooms, event areas, farmers market space, and a skate park.
