The former JoBeck’s bar at 521 Cottage Grove Road has been sold to Ryan Ramig and Josh Wacker, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal. The new owners plan to reopen the bar in July under a new name, Dive Inn, and aim for an “authentic, cozy dive-bar” vibe after renovations are complete. Improvements include a new facade and an outdoor nonsmoking patio. The outdoor space will need approval by the Madison Plan Commission. JoBeck’s closed last year after a short battle over its alcohol license. The licensing dispute was not settled before the bar was put up for sale.
