New $1 million Wisconsin Fast Forward grants are being offered through the Department of Workforce Development to address the state’s demand for skilled workers. This funding round is available to employers from every industry and of all sizes across the state.
All industries statewide are eligible to enter.
The WFF program funds local and regional programs that help employers meet workforce needs. The grants reimburse the costs of customized occupational training for unemployed, underemployed and existing workers. About $1 million is available for grants ranging from $5,000 to $400,000 or higher for consortium applicants.
“These training grants help employers to fill in-demand positions, offer workers the skills they need to succeed and strengthen Wisconsin’s workforce for the future,” DWD Secretary Amy Pechacek said in a statement.
Eligible applicants include public agencies and private organizations in all industry sectors and more.
Applications are due by 3 p.m. CST on May 4.
