The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) has published updated workforce profiles for Wisconsin’s 72 counties. Each profile provides county-level information, analysis and data through 2024 to help employers, job seekers, economic developers and workforce partners make decisions related to the labor market economy.
Every two years, DWD’s Office of Economic Advisors compiles and distills local data into individual snapshots of each county’s workforce. The 2024 profiles provide information including the effects of Wisconsin’s ongoing worker quantity challenge resulting from the state and nation’s aging population and the potential impact of automation on certain employment sectors.
Each county profile includes:
-
Population and demographic statistics;
Advertisement -
Occupational patterns and employment by industry projections;
-
Labor force participation and unemployment rates;
-
Income and education data; and
-
Artificial intelligence exposure assessments by occupation.
