The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has submitted a grant application for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Lost Wages Assistance (LWA) program, according to a release from Gov. Tony Evers’ office.
If approved, the program will allow Wisconsin to fund an additional unemployment compensation benefit of $300 per week to eligible unemployment recipients. The funds would be retroactive to the week ending Aug. 1, 2020.
