Made-to-order donut shop Madison Duck Donuts will open this Saturday at 3308 University Ave., according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Initially slated to open in late July, the 1,200-square-foot spot on the first floor of The Boulevard Apartments will be the first Wisconsin location for the Pennsylvania-headquartered, North Carolina-founded company.
To celebrate its grand opening, Duck Donuts will offer the first customer in line a dozen free donuts per month for a year, and the following 50 customers will get a “Sprinkling Happiness Package” that includes one dozen donuts and a bucket of coffee upon a future visit.
Mark and Amanda Kienbaum are the local owners and operators of Madison Duck Donuts, along with Dave Crain, who will handle day-to-day operations. In addition to donuts, the shop will offer coffee, donut breakfast sandwiches, donut sundaes, frozen beverages, and milkshakes. It will be open Sunday–Thursday from 6 a.m.–4 p.m. and Friday–Saturday from 6 a.m.–6 p.m.
