An Iowa credit union plans to make inroads into the Madison financial arena this fall. Dubuque-based Alliant Credit Union will open an office at Alliant Energy’s corporate headquarters, 4902 N. Biltmore Lane.
Formerly Interstate Employees Credit Union, Alliant CU is not part of Alliant Energy, reports the Wisconsin State Journal, but it will serve Alliant Energy employees and their families, as well as those of American Transmission Co., Georgia Pacific, Federal Mogul, and Mystique Casino.
The credit union currently has more than 10,000 members and $106 million in assets, and its Madison location will be its seventh office, and the first one outside Iowa.
