UW-Madison may soon be testing driverless cars after federal regulators chose UW’s Traffic Operations and Safety Laboratory as one of 10 groups nationwide to study the emerging technology.
Early testing of the autonomous vehicles could be conducted at UW–Madison, Epic Systems, Road America in Plymouth, Wis., and MGA Research Corp. in Burlington, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal.
