The DOT is looking at four alternative plans to revamp Wisconsin Dells’ main artery, which currently handles 28,000 vehicles every day during the height of the tourist season and records an average of 351 crashes each year, far surpassing the state average of 233 each year on that type of road. The agency will select one of the four plans later this year or in early 2014 in an effort to more safely move traffic along Wisconsin Dells Parkway. Construction would likely begin in 2020.
