A Duluth Trading Co. advertisement for its Henley-style shirts has prompted Don Henley, a founding member of the Eagles, to file suit against the company. Henley claims the ad, with text reading “Don a Henley and Take it easy,” illegally traded on his name. The song “Take It Easy” was the band’s first hit single in 1972. Duluth Trading is well known for its tongue-in-cheek advertising, but a spokesperson for the Eagles says the band members’ names are trademarks and should not be used to sell products.
