The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has decided to close the Mazomanie beach that for decades had been known as a gathering spot for nudist groups, citing continued instances of illegal activity.

The DNR closed the beach to public use, saying it has a plan to improve the location for a broader, clothed population.

The Naturist Action Committee is considering a lawsuit against the closure.
