Diversity forum announces keynote speaker, extends call for proposals

Dr. Russell Jeung, co-founder of Stop AAPI Hate, will be the keynote speaker at the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s 2021 Diversity Forum, according to an announcement from the university. Jeung is a professor of Asian American Studies at San Francisco State University who has studied social movements, community organizing, race, and religion for decades. The 2021 UW–Madison Diversity Forum will focus on social justice, healing, and finding solutions to longstanding social problems in the context of the pandemic. Submissions for 75-minute breakout sessions, including workshops, panel discussions, and lectures, are being accepted through Monday, May 17.
