Disney records strong first quarter thanks to ‘Zootopia 2, ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’

The Walt Disney Co. earned $2.4 billion, or $1.34 per share, for the three months ending on Dec. 27, with the company citing the strength of “Zootopia 2” and “Avatar: Fire and Ash” as a major reason why, the Associated Press reports.

A year ago, the company earned $2.64 billion, or $1.40 per share.

Overall, Disney reported revenue of $25.98 billion.
