Disney parks chief Josh D’Amaro will succeed Bob Iger as CEO.

He will become the ninth CEO in the company’s history, the Associated Press reports. D’Amaro has led Disney’s theme parks, cruises and resorts since 2020, bringing in $36 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

Disney said D’Amaro will focus on creating successful movies, theme park additions and growing streaming and its sports business.

Almost four years ago, Disney tried to replace Iger, but it was a difficult two years under Bob Chapek that brought Iger back as CEO.
