Madison-headquartered DeWitt LLP on Friday announced that attorney Michael G. May has joined the law firm as a partner and will be leading its new office in Mequon, expanding upon its footprint in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
May’s practice is focused on family wealth transfers, business succession, retirement distribution planning, executive benefits, and charitable techniques. With 30 years of experience working in estate and business planning, May has authored publications on sophisticated estate planning, business succession, charitable giving, and compensation planning.
Prior to DeWitt, May led a private practice based out of Mequon. He holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and is a certified financial planner.
