After its first plan was rejected by the Madison Plan Commission, LZ Ventures is revising a project that would demolish multiple buildings for a large, mixed-use project in the 400 block of booming East Washington Avenue, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report.
The new project proposal removes one story but still includes the demolition of the Klinke Cleaners building, three multiflat houses, and two single-story commercial buildings, all between 402 and 414 E. Washington Ave., as well as multiple flats at 9 N. Hancock St. and 8 and 12 N. Franklin St. The revised project is a nine-story structure with 148 apartments, 1,226 square feet of commercial space, and two and a half floors of underground parking.
