The Radisson Hotel at 517 Grand Canyon Drive in Madison could become housing developed by Vivo Investment Group of California, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The development company would like to convert the hotel into 145 studio and eight one-bedroom apartment units. The project would retain amenities including the swimming pool and fitness center, improve individual units, and convert conference and event spaces into indoor bike parking and tenant storage. If the zoning request to change the property from “commercial corridor” to “commercial corridor-transactional” is approved by the city, work could begin as soon as February 2023 with a completion date in June 2023.
