The Rifken Group has purchased the Remish Farm, a 61-acre property located between Packers Avenue and Tennyson Drive on the north side of Madison, and proposes a development that would add housing and commercial businesses to the area, according to a statement from the Northside Business Association.

The plan includes more than 129 new single-family homes, row housing made up of townhouses and private garages, multifamily housing lots, and retail space for restaurants, a grocery store, and service shops along Packers Avenue. Design features include a tree-lined boulevard, sidewalks, and two large, park-like wetland areas designed for water retention. The roads would be constructed next summer and fall with lot sales beginning later next year and 2022.
