A project from developer Chris Houden to redevelop the 700 block of East Johnson Street in Madison was approved by the Madison Plan Commission despite not garnering much support from the Tenney-Lapham neighborhood due to the scale of the project, according to a Capital Timesreport.
Houden’s plan has changed several times, and the latest iteration calls for redeveloping five existing homes and demolishing or relocating others to add a three-story development with 58 apartments, ground-level commercial space, and 60 parking spaces.
